2024 CEO of the Year Awards
The San Diego Business Journal "CEO of the Year Awards" brought together some of the most inspiring leaders in our community. It was an evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the exceptional CEOs who drive their companies and contribute significantly to the San Diego community.
As the event kicked off, TAVO’s own CEO, Bryant Walker engaged with attendees to capture their thoughts on what makes a great CEO. Here are some of the insights shared by the leaders and attendees:
Ashley Hayslip of Enterprise Bank & Trust: "A great CEO cares deeply about their employees and clients, getting to know them on a personal level."

Diane Ferraro of Save the Storks: "It's such a huge honor to be in such an esteemed group of CEOs."
Joe Mundi of Synoptek: "Leaders should be servant leaders, dedicated to both their teams and their communities."
Alan Prohaska of PNC: "[CEOs] are great at marshaling their team and bringing out their strengths, and what they care most about is making their community a better place."
Valerie Attisha of PNC: "When we show up, we show up as a team, because we firmly believe in supporting community, and supporting leaders in our community."
Dr. Francisco Valle: "Great leaders have to see the future as if it has already happened."

The evening was filled with recognition and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of these outstanding leaders. It was an honor to hear from those who lead with vision, humility, and a commitment to making our community a better place. We are proud to share the highlights from this memorable event.
